Little Colorado River Scenic Overlook:
Interpretive Sign Instalation and Trail cleanup
October 25, 2008
Overview
Get out, get dirty, and give back! Contribute your time, energy and enthusiasm at the last Native America volunteer project of the year. We will be installing interpretive signs along the trail that identify and describe native plants. Additionally, we will pick up trash around this scenic day use area.
Grand Canyon Trust volunteers have been working with Navajo community members to document native uses for important plant species that live along this trail. The signs were developed in partnership with the Grand Canyon Trust and Navajo Tribal Parks to educate visitors about these important plants and their uses in Navajo culture.
We need your help to install these signs, maintain the trail, and clean up the day use area. This is a great way to enjoy a beautiful fall day! ![]()
