Vegetation Program Volunteer Days on the South Rim: May 28-31, 2010

Overview

Next Memorial Day please come join the Vegetation Program staff at Grand Canyon National Park to assist in a diversity of projects on the South Rim. We will be restoring areas impacted by construction, assisting our invasive crew to rid the canyon of non native plants, and helping our nursery staff stage plants for a plethora of projects around the park. Mather Campground, just minutes from the challenging Bright Angel Trail , historic El Tovar hotel, and breathtaking Yavapai Point, will be your home for five nights. We will work from 8 AM - 4 PM with an hour for lunch every day. Over the course of your visit Vegetation Program staff will introduce you to the natural history of the park through a series of informal talks. We look forward to having you out at the park to assist our staff to protect this fabulous resource.
